The Zeitgeist Movement and the Resource Based Economy.

The Problem.

You watch the evening news and you see poverty, crime, homelessness, greed, corruption, trashing the environment, planned obsolescence, rape, murder, violence and on it goes. You soon come to realise, something is wrong with our current system. You might now know what it is exactly but you can't help feeling, this is not normal.

For more than 200,000 years we have been part of a planetary project to allow us all to experience separation and disconnection from each other. With the Dark Ages being the lowest point, this global experiment is now over. What you are seeing in the world is the 'darkness before the dawn'. I know that sounds cliched but that is the way it is. If you have been through any personal challenge or broken through your own barriers, has it not been the most intense just before it all gets better for you? Well, that is what is happening on a global scale.

Despite how it appears on the main stream negative news, we are in fact on the home stretch and things, in many ways, are improving. Yes there is still some work as the last of the dark agendas, greed, corruption, etc, play out on the world stage. However, these are simply the last of the old programs and way of doing things trying to hold on to its dying existence.

Solutions.

There is an ever growing number of people and groups out there around the planet that are helping people to wake up to what is really going on in the world. As a result, there are many worthy projects that are being created out there dedicated to making the world a better place. Unfortunately, they are mostly either proposing more money to help their cause, or are localised in their focus. The problem with this approach, as you will see below, is that it is the current monetary system is the actual cause of the problem and true sustainability is impossible under a monetary system.

I have looked at many different 'save the planet' or social change causes and groups and never got involved. The reason is, I am a big picture person who is looking for ways that help the most number of people and addresses the root causes, not just one group or area.

In recent times, the one exceptions I have made is the Zeitgeist Movement.

The Zeitgeist Movement.

The reason I decided to get involved with the Zeitgeist Movement is because it is the only one that is global in scope, systemic in approach, and, advocates that the solutions does not require more money but the complete removal of the monetary system itself. The Zeitgeist Movement is the activist arm of the Venus Project, which proposes that we need to shift from a profit/monetary system over to a resource based economy.

Under the current monetary system, when addressing a problem in society, we ask the immature and limited questions, do we have the money and can we make a profit from this problem or situation? The typical answer is, no.

Under the Resource Based Economy, the more mature question asks, do we have the resources and technology to solve the problem? Given the size of the planet, of course we have the resources.

The former questions leaves a lot of people suffering simply because it is not profitable to help people generally. The latter question is more humane and a more mature attitude to things.

While the removal of the monetary system might seem radical, once you watch the documentaries below, expecially the second one, Zeitgeist Addendum, you will have a much better understanding of why the planet is in a mess at the moment, and why the Resource Based Economy is a whole lot more sane and beneficial. It is not perfect, but it is better than what we have.

Under the Resource Based Economy there is plenty for everyone.

The Zeitgeist Movement.

To indicate how ready people are for the information in the two documentaries below, there has begun a global Zeitgeist Movement. With about half a million people registered worldwide, and arguably, several more million involved or supportive, this speaks volumes as to the timing, readiness and relevance of the information it offers.

I will point out that there has been some debate over a few details in the first part of the first film. Be that as it may, do not throw the proverbial baby out with the bath water. Do not let this dissuade you from the overall bigger picture solution it is proposing.

Listen, watch and be wise.

I am yours in peaceful, inclusive social change to a more humane, sane and kinder future,

What next?

With a global focus and systemic approach, the Zeitgeist Movement has no particular religious, political or other group affiliations or backing. I believe this is one of the main reasons that is is gaining a lot of interest around the world. It is not pushing a 'party line' whether religious, political or otherwise. It does not require any 'faith' in a guru, messiah, swami or similar. It is not focused on 'fattening the bottom line' like a corporation.  It is focusing on making the world a better more humane and sane place for ALL people, regardless of their race, culture, faith, or belief.

There are no fees, no contracts to sign and nothing to swear allegiance to. It is simply 'we the people' recognising that the direction we are headed in is going to crash and burn if we don't do something better.

If you too are interested in learning more about helping to shift society in a more peaceful, sane, inclusive and decent direction, please look at the following links.

At the following link you can also watch the above two documentaries online for free. You can also download the DVD to burn to disc and hand out to friends and associates. I recommend the second film, Zeitgeist Addendum. With its coverage of the monetary system and fraudulent banking system, it is most relevant to people.

The Zetigeist Movement.

As a result of the information and vision put forward in the two documentaries, a growing global movement for social and systemic change has begun - The Zeitgeist Movement.

Start at the following link and go from there. There are links to each country and under them, each chapter.

With a decent sized and active community here in Oz, you can use this Australian Zeitgeist link to find groups in each state.

I will add updates in here from time to time.

Thanks for taking the time to educate yourself and considering making the world a better place.
