Intro to Permaculture.
Canberra Workshop Details.
- Concerned about the future of your food security?
- Frankenstein food, GM crops, nasty chemicals...are you over it?
- Want to grown food at home using Permaculture principals?
As part of National Permaculture Day (Australia), join us in the nation's capital for a half day of informative and inspiring. Wether in a small rental place or an established home, learn how to transform urban space into an integrated edible Permaculture system.
Incorporating site visits, presentations, demonstrations and an inspiring documentary, topics include: making a 'bunyip' water level, useing micro-swales to harvest water; how to make a no-dig garden (no weeding – yay!), and more!
- Learn. Get the latest on Permaculture and learn about the emerging resource based economy.
- See. From basic to advanced, sites visits show it in action. Grant's: under 6 month's old and costing less than $100, it was producing in a few weeks. Paul's, larger and 12-15 years old, it is taking over the neighbourhood (well, not quite...but nearly).
- Watch: Loaded with info, Permaculture And Organic Gardening* with Josh Byrne, shows you, step by step, how to transform an overgrown suburban yard into an integrated edible Permaculture system. An inspiring must see!
The afternoon also includes:
How to make a 'bunyip' water level for finding contours; useing micro-swales to harvest water; how to make a no-dig garden (no weeding – yay!), and more!
